It’s official. After a week of grueling workouts, and even more inspiring feats of strength and endurance, the fittest man, woman, masters, and team have been crowned in the 2015 CrossFit Games.
This year saw the evolution of the Games manifest itself through longer distances, greater weights, and bigger challenges.
As the weekend came to a close, the final workouts punctuated what will certainly be known as one of the most difficult and exciting competitions in fitness history. Among others, Pier Paddle, Water Worm, Murph, Earth Worm, Heavy DT, and The Sandwich came together to test each athlete’s physical stamina, each team’s teamwork, and everyone’s mental fortitude.
With the Games over, and the Fittest crowned, the remaining competitors are left to ponder the highs and lows of the weekend’s events, and most importantly, the coming year’s training schedule.
Congratulations to all the amazing athletes who pushed themselves to the limit during this year’s competition. Your accomplishments will go on to inspire the rest of us to shoot for glory in 2016.
